In all honesty I’m not sure what to say about this but I found it quite intriguing and felt it worthy of a post! So here’s a snippet from the press release to get us started…
Vincent Morisset’s BLA BLA is an interactive tale that explores the fundamental principles of human communication. The viewer makes the story possible: without him or her, the characters remain inert, waiting for the next interaction. The spectator clicks, plays and searches through the simple, uncluttered scenes, truly driving the experience.
So I had a little play and it’s true that you, the viewer, do indeed drive the story on and it is fun to click around and interact with the characters and I’m sure there are deeper things at work too but they were beyond my little Wednesday lunchtime brain I’m afraid. The animation, interactivity and score make it an interesting way to divert yourself from the monotony of the day and searching for the deeper meaning could be your challenge for the day, let us know if you find it!
