Did you know that Australia only makes up 0.3% of the world’s population?

Our friends on the other side of the planet conducted their census in August and unlike the erm, ‘inspired’ campaign that we see here in the UK (for which my lasting memory is purple and the threat of prison), the Australian government has gone to the trouble of creating a rather lovely interactive animation, explaining the interesting information that can be achieved via the census. At the end, you can even make your own graphic based on stats about you. Nice.
